This policy explains what information we collect when you visit drduany.org, request a free chapter, or order Dr. Efraín Duany’s books, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone, wherever you live.
1. What we collect
- When you request the free chapter: your first name, your email address, and a record of your agreement to receive the chapter, the Pattern Guide and occasional emails.
- When you order a book: your name, email address, shipping address and the items you ordered. Your card payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you write to us: your email address and what you tell us.
- When you visit the site: technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and the date and time, collected through cookies and similar tools.
- When you comment on an article: the name, email and comment you enter, plus your IP address and browser information used to detect spam.
Please do not send us health or clinical information through our forms or emails. These pages are not for treatment and are not set up to receive it. If you want care, use the ZODU sites. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911.
2. How we use it
- To send you the free chapter and Pattern Guide.
- To take, pack, ship and support your book order, and to send order and shipping messages.
- To send occasional emails from Dr. Duany about healthier relationships, only if you agreed to receive them.
- To keep the site secure, prevent spam and understand which pages are useful.
- To keep the records the law requires (taxes and accounting).
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.
3. Who receives it
We share information only with providers that help us run these services, and only what they need to do their job:
- GoHighLevel (LeadConnector): our forms, funnel pages and email delivery.
- Stripe: payment processing.
- Shipping carriers (such as USPS, UPS or FedEx): your name and address, to deliver your order.
- Our website hosting and security providers.
- Accountants and lawyers, and government authorities when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
4. Email
Every marketing email has our mailing address and an unsubscribe link. Click it, or write to info@zodugroup.com, and we will stop within 10 business days (usually immediately). We will still send order and shipping messages for orders you placed.
5. How long we keep it
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list so we do not email you again.
- Order and tax records: seven years.
- Support emails: up to three years.
- Comments: until we remove them.
6. Cookies and similar tools
We use cookies that are needed for the site to work and for basic traffic measurement. We do not run third-party advertising pixels on the free-chapter and order pages. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work without them.
Do Not Track: our site does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals, and we do not track you across other websites.
7. Your choices and rights
Whatever state or country you live in, you may email info@zodugroup.com to ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you. We will answer within 30 days. We may keep what we must keep by law, such as order records. We will not treat you differently for making a request. If someone else makes a request for you, we may ask for proof that you allowed it.
8. Security and problems
We use reputable providers with security features (such as encrypted connections) and limit who can see your information. No online system is perfectly secure. If a security incident affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
9. Children
These pages and our books are for adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.
10. Other websites
We may link to other websites, such as Amazon. They have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
11. Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is significant, we will tell subscribers by email.
